Containers for flexitanks must be in good serviceable condition. If there is any doubt of the structural integrity of the container or its suitability for installing or transporting a flexitank, the container should be rectified or replaced.
Maximum loading capacity of flexitank couldn’t exceed 24000 Liter and weight couldn’t exceed 24000kg. The weight of liquid in flexitank couldn’t exceed the confirmed weight with operator, in order to avoid any damage due to container bulge.
① Container should be 20’GP ISO container, its tare weight + loading capacity≤30480kg
② Total weight after loading by direct measure <30480kg
③ Each flexitank could load ±3% of normal capacity
Container should be suitable for non-hazardous liquid transportation safely and legally. Select containers as per below criteria:
① Container should be in good state and meet shipping company condition standards. Maintenance should be in accordance with the regulation of UCIRC Check & Maintenance Procedure, and COA Operation Manual, Version 5.
② If container has the problem related to structure integrity, safety or flexitank transportation, container should be repaired or changed immediately.
③ If container exists any sharp edges, dents, other defects or surface problems which might damage, puncture or effect flexitank, container surface should be covered by protective material.
④ Door
Door should be close smoothly and control system couldn’t be blocked.
Before loading and during loading process, container should be placed horizontally to make sure the door could close normally.
⑤ Container external
Container external couldn’t leave any sign of previous loading cargoes.
After discharging, the flexitank, linings and all equipment should be completely removed from the container and safely disposed according to the environmental instruction and policy. The container should be redelivered to the shipping line completely empty and in the same condition as received.
