LAF Won 3rd Place in QD Enterprise Sailing 2019

Qingdao Enterprise Sailing Game 2019 started in August with fantastic weather in Qingdao. It was one of the important events of the 11th Qingdao International Sailing Week and Qingdao International Ocean Festival. These event are held to promote sailing sport in Qingdao, to advertising the city of Qingdao as the city for sailing in China.

It was the third time that LAF has participated in the Qingdao Enterprise Sailing Game. In the game, each company selected 6 amateur members from their employees and set up their sailing teams. Before the game, there was training for all teams for 2 weeks, every sailing boat has got a coach to train team members. In the 2 weeks all teams have to master the skills of driving the sailing boat under natural wind, and trying to finish the designated sailing route in a time as short as possible.

Sailing is a sport highly relying on teamwork, when in the sea, the crew need to observe wind direction, wave condition, and navigation environment all the time. All crew members must well-coordinated to adjust the wheel, mainsail, jib, spinnaker so as to control the sailing direction and speed. Each member of the crew is supposed to manage his own duty and coordinate with his team members very closely and efficiently.

All LAF team members were amateurs, but they all overcome the physical discomfort of high heat, and learnt the skills of managing the sailing boat very fast. Cooperation among crew members were very efficient, and effective after 2 weeks practices. Through consistent teamwork, very proudly LAF team won the third place award in the final competition game.
