In response to global climate change and the push for sustainability, LAF has consistently adhered to the green development philosophy, striving to reduce the carbon emissions across the product lifecycle. Recently, LAF's 24KL flexitank successfully passed the SGS Carbon Footprint Certification, with its carbon emissions during production and transportation calculated in accordance with the ISO 14067:2018 standards for greenhouse gas quantification, the “cradle-to-gate” emissions have met international standards, making LAF the first in the flexitank industry to receive this certification from SGS.
What Is Carbon Footprint Certification?
SGS, a global leader in inspection, verification, testing, and certification, evaluates a product’s greenhouse gas emissions throughout its lifecycle. This certification is a significant milestone for LAF, demonstrating our commitment to reducing environmental impact and its leadership in green, low-carbon transformation.
LAF’s Green Commitment
LAF integrates low-carbon principles into every aspect of the operations, from product design and material selection to manufacturing and logistics management. We continuously optimizes production processes, utilizes eco-friendly materials, and improves energy efficiency to embed “green and carbon reduction” into every phase of the operations. The carbon footprint certification is both a testament to our environmental commitment and an ongoing motivation to pursue further sustainability.
This certification marks the beginning of LAF’s journey towards green innovation. We will continue to explore new materials and technologies to further reduce emissions, aiming to lead the packaging industry’s green transformation. LAF remains committed to offering more eco-friendly and efficient packaging solutions, playing its part in lightening the load on our planet and contributing to a better tomorrow.
