LAF Flexitank for Bitumen Transport

Bitumen, as it is known, is a black or brownish-black gelatinous mixture with a wide range of applications. But because of its nature, transport has been a headache.

Generally, bitumen is transported in steel drums and Jumbo bags. Steel drums are strong and safe, but take large space for storage. What’s more, clients at destination have to heat up the drums so as to discharge bitumen out of the drums, which is extremely troublesome and empty drums disposal is a huge expense. However, the jumbo bag is a flexible packaging, after fully loaded with liquid bitumen, it must be placed to cool, or put into the frame cage to constrain the bitumen inside, and so the storage and packaging costs are very high.

Our LAF HTR Flexitank is made of new heat-resistant materials, it is specially designed for bulk liquid cargo with high filling temperature e.g. liquid bitumen or non-hazardous chemicals with similar features. 

● LAF HTR Fexitank could withstand max. 120℃ filling temperature.

● Its inner bag could be melted into bitumen, no damage to bitumen quality.

● Compared to drums and jumbo bags, LAF HTR flexitank can load 20% + more bitumen per each 20ft container.

● LAF HTR Fexitank does not need any pallet, frame cage, saving packaging cost directly.

● After fully loaded with liquid bitumen, the HTR Flexitank could be transported after 24hrs cooling down, it does not need a peculiar yard or a warehouse to store and cool down.
